Old Business:
President Dobija announced the Boards decision to move the Lady Wings from the Recreation I division to Intermediate II for the second half of the season. This decision was made after several conversations and watching several games to evaluate the skill level of the team, specifically three players that have a skill level much better than Rec. I. The Board hasagreed to move the Lady Wings team to the Intermediate II Division where the following conditions apply:
- the Lady Wings willcontinue to bemonitored by the Board duringthe 2nd halfof the season to
evaluate their team'sskill level in the Intermediate II division and addressany concerns
- the three players in question will not be able to participate in the 2008-09 Ruicci Cup tournamentto
ensure fair play for the other Intermediate II teams
- the three players in question will move tothe Intermediate I or Advanced Division for the 2009-10
 season
The Board believes that this is the best overall decision whereasit:
-doesn'tjeopardize the majority of the Lady Wings team from being placed in a division that isone or
two divisions above their skill level
- doesn't penalized other Intermediate II teamsparticipating in the Ruicci Cup Tournament
- allows the Lady Wings time to decide what division they would like to play in during the 2009-10
season andbuildtheirteam to alignwith that division.
Any concerns regarding this decision should be put in writing to the Board.

Treasurers Report: Joanne Lukasik reported that our balance is $8,805.55 as of 11/30/08. There are no additional expenses since the October meeting other than the room fee for Eddie Edgar.

New Business:
* The Board reviewed the division standings that were updated and there were no other teams that warranted a movement to another division.
* The Renegades sent a player request for approval. More information is needed and Ann will contact their team manager.
* The Metro Blades have a player that needs to be evaluated. The Board will watch games and determine if any movement is needed.
* Ruicci Cup- no updates as of yet. Dates are March 19-22, 2009 at Eddie Edgar.
* DIVISION STATISITICIANS: Please be sure to send Ann your divisions stats minimally of once a month for posting to the site, preferably at the beginning of the month. The Advanced, Intermediate I, and Rec I stats have been updated.
* There are a couple of divisions that are struggling with getting timesheets in within the 7 days that are required per the MSWHL by-laws. Games will be FORFEITED if they are not turned in within the allotted timeframe. Statisticians need to remind teams if they are missing any and record a forfeit if not received within the allotted timeframe.
* Reminder to teams that if you add any players to your roster that you must send an updated USA Hockey roster and Player Credential form to Ann Dobija.

MAHA/USA Hockey Update:
* Carrie Sirola reported that for Womens States there will be a Senior B division only consisting of OLeary Hawks, 3 Star Truckers and Houghton. Mission will represent the Senior C Division and Little Caesars the Senior A Division.

Other issues:
* A proposal to increase the 4 goal running clock rule was proposed and discussed. The decision was made to change the rule to the following: At any time during the last 5 minutes of the game that the score becomes a six (6) goal differential, the clock will go to running time. If the losing team scores causing the score to then become less than the six (6) goal differential, the clock then reverts back to stop time. A letter will be drafted and distributed to all team managers for implementation of any future games.
* The Golden Blades Tourney in Brownstown, January 16-19 is looking for Rec teams. An email was sent to managers of the Rec teams to generate any interest.

Next meeting is TBD.

Meeting adjourned at 7:55pm. Motioned by Angie Bernath and Joanne Lukasik.
