* Kristin Krug is taking over as director for her division - Senior Recreation A.

* Website currently being worked on to fix problem with viewing documents such as schedules and meeting minutes.

* Update on By-Laws, Rules and Regulations
* The league is all set with finalizing the by-laws and rules and regulations. We are currently working on the tax exempt form which will be filed by the end of the week. There is a $150 filing fee and we will then await word as to whether the league is accepted or refused a tax exempt status. The league is then done with the lawyer except for annual retention fees.

* Discuss Ruicci Cup Tournament:
* Date: March 21st-24th at Taylor Sportsplex
* Please contact Kristen Krug if you wish to help.

* Registration: A Letter of Intent must be turned in by January 31st if your team wishes to participate. The letter commits your team to the tournament and if you back out, your team forfeits the $100. Players must be registered with each team by January 31st to be eligible to play in the Ruicci Cup.
* An official roster must be sent to Kristen Krug by mid February. If the team roster is NOT typed you must provide a typewritten team player list so that we have at least one legible copy of each team's roster. Original MAHA rosters must still be provided even if no changes have occurred during the year.
* Send roster and payment to Kristin Krug at 108 Oakwood Ypsilanti, MI 48197. Kristen will provide the actual amount due within the next week.
* Rosters will be needed to do registration forms. Tournament officials will be checking original rosters against sign in sheets at the tournament.

* Tournament will have 4 divisions. Each team has three game minimum. Cannot do true playoff format, but will use standings as of March 1st to determine initial games. Round robin format will then follow.
* Finals for each division will be on Sunday.
* Looking at 50-55 sheets of ice. May do a semi-final, depending on how many teams we have enter, etc.
* There are two open skates in between Saturday's ice, but it gives the MSHL a chance to have the public see what is going on.
* Regular games will be curfew clock, but final games will have extra time to account for possible overtime and awards presentation, etc.

* An announcer will be available for each game.
* Ice, Scorekeepers, Pucks, Announcer $175/sheet (50 minutes) - rink is providing all, including scorekeepers at no extra charge. First floor meeting room will be available for our use. Will post advertising for us. May have final games taped and aired on community television. Don't even have to pay a deposit yet.
* Rink will provide tournament bracket sheets/standings boards (no extra cost).
* Referees $25/ref - we will be handling this. (Ann Dobija has someone from Hazel Park who will do it). Terry Mathews suggested to hold a pre-tournament meeting with the refs so they know what are expectations are.

* Trophies - 60 silver medals and 49 gold medals left from last year - going to revamp to say 2002 and order additional to cover enough teams. Other prizes are being discussed as well such as hats or pullovers.
* A suggestion to order a banner for pictures was offered.
* Registration Table - teams will be required to work the table for a few hours during the tournament.
* Silent Auction (Members Only) - Items must be hockey related and is voluntary to donate. Silent Auction will be for MSHL members and significant others only.
* Souvenirs - pins from last year will be sold for $1. Some of the shirts from last year will be raffled off (players will place their name and team on a piece of paper at registration). May add hats to raffle off as well. All other shirts and items from last years silent auction will be donated to the La Casa women's shelter.
* A table in the registration room will be provided for people to bring items in that they wish to donate to La Casa. Colleen will organize this effort. Look for details to come with regard to the items needed by the shelter.
* Patty Formosa will see if we can get Breast Cancer pins to sell and give the proceeds to Breast Cancer fund. Some proceeds from the Silent Auction may also be donated.
* Pro shop may stock up on USA souvenirs and other items that may be of interest to a women's hockey league.
* Pictures (Action Shots of Players) - rink said that they can provide this service - we'll look into this more.
* Rink may give players coupons for $ off on concessions, skate sharpening, etc.
* Other Items (Rules and Regulations, First Aid Kit, Supplies) - do rinks have paramedics on hand - we check on this.
* If someone would like to volunteer to provide a program they can organize it. The League will not pay any money into it or require participation, however, they will distribute info to the league as to how teams can participate. Again, the league will not cover any of these expenses.
* Kristin will e-mail everyone info on registering and volunteering.
